Try diving, PADI Discover Scuba Diving in Phuket (DSD)
You can dive in the ocean today! The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is for those who have never tried scuba diving and would like to experience breathing underwater, in a safe environment and under the close supervision of an instructor.
The reefs around Phuket are perfect for novice divers because we have clear waters, plenty of sheltered bays where there's no current, and the most incredible range of marine species. The best bit is you don't have to go too far to see them! On our Kata beach house reef, in water as shallow as 3 or 4m we can see schooling barracuda, butterfly fish, surgeon fish, seahorses and many, many more.
Nervous of diving for the first time? Uncomfortable with the idea of going underwater? Don't worry, we can offer you private instruction and we will always go at your pace. Our instructors are experienced enough to make even the most nervous divers feel confident and safe all the time.
Come and meet your instructor before you decide!

What's involved in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program?
We can take you out into the ocean to experience the fantastic underwater world within a few hours of reserving your place. (Conditions permitting!)
Whether you choose a local dive - half day program from Kata or Karon beach - or the two dives daytrip to Racha Yai option, your instructor will explain the basics of dive theory before helping you with the equipment and taking you into the water. First of all you'll practice a couple of simple skills (usually it takes around 5 minutes to complete) and then you'll be off exploring the reef on your Open Water Dive.
The maximum depth for your dives will be 12m, and you will remain closely supervised by your instructor at all times. Whether you choose the boat trip, or the beach dive, you're going to see a fantastic variety of fish life, and your instructor will spend time with you after your dive identifying the species that you have seen.
The skills and the Open Water Dive can be credited against your Open Water Course if you want to continue to full certification. We'll even credit the cost of your DSD if you continue straight away with us, so what have you got to lose? Come and try out your scuba wings today!
